He's Back

I came back from an eventful week off (more later) to find the red penguin had been plunked on my desk out in the children's room.

He's very happy to be back home.

And his brothers & sisters are happy to have him back!

Maybe this fella just got separated from the group during the yearly 'March of the Penguins' and it just took him awhile to find his way back! ;-)

They haven't marched in all the years I've had them--unless they did it while I was away and came back before I returned.

No, the little darling went out yelling, clutching it in his hand, and mom apparently managed to sneak it back when I was away. Didn't even have the decency to hand it to a staff member and apologize, or leave a written apology. Bleh....

Hey Library Lady, thanks for mentioning Sylvia-that's a quote from a very old cartoon. I love that you remember it. Sylvia and I have a blog: Badgirlchats.com.
Visit us, regards, nicole hollander

Library Lady: She was probably mortified. I would be. But then, I'm easily mortified. :)

Nicole Hollander commented on your blog! Huzzah. Thinner thighs for everyone.

She could've left a note of apology--even unsigned. Something.

Yup, I am thrilled to have had Nicole comment. As I wrote on Twitter, it makes 7 years of blogging worth while ;)

Yes. That is true. I would have left a little gift of contrition. A little effort goes a little way.
